this crazy little thing...

called love. well, it roped me too. i have updated my blog and have let clients know that i no longer do weddings. when tammy asked me to photograph her wedding, my immediate response was to refer her to another photographer. but as i listened, she explained it was a small ceremony with only a couple people. i happily obliged and have never been more thrilled.
this was the most intimate wedding i have ever been a part of. the venue at sommerseat provided rustic charm & the most incredible location for their special day. there were laughs, happy tears & those closest to tammy & pete were present. the most simply stated wedding; and i could not have felt more love. these two are incredible together. from their handwritten vows to the box of tissues that were nearly empty by the end of their special day, thank you. thanks for the reminder that simple love is the best and happy girls are the prettiest. oxxo

and baby makes THREE...

amazing kiddos in the now, Hayden family of five. introducing Bodie, a handsome, cheeky fella that stole the hearts of everyone he has met. seriously, i got some serious baby snuggles in with this guy. big brother & sister are just as smitten with him. i cannot get over his lashes & cheeks. & this was a sweet reminder that i started taking pictures for this family when lilly who is now almost 6 was just about his age. i love this family for the sense of fun & family i get when i'm with them. never a dull moment & never short on love. oxxo

this BUMP...

has been a LONG time coming. i won't share too much of this family's incredible journey (i will save that for mom & dad, because i feel like a book should be written and a movie made; & take stock in kleenex before reading/watching when it does.)
we had so much to celebrate on the beach in solomons for this maternity session. soon to be BIG brother Nittany could not be left out of the action either. i just remember i kept saying, i see the bump, it's here & real but i still cannot believe it. i just could not wrap my head around it. literally my heart was overflowing for this family. Ryeligh Rose, you are so loved already. oxxo

to the Hall family...

that make me feel like a part of their own, THANK YOU! i'm blessed to have you guys cheering me on. these guys picked downtown solomons to have a session. the weather was absolutely beautiful. we even took the path less traveled, did some exploring and found a pretty neat hidden spot for portraits. these guys just melt my heart. the session was filled with laughter & happy tears. and when the session was over they invited me to lunch...how blessed am i?!? oxxo

from the bottom...

of my heart, THANK YOU to my amazing clients (who, let's just be honest are some pretty amazing souls that i consider friends) for their constant support of this whole photography thing. their support has been unwavering. i have been super behind in my blogging. i suppose life happened; the blog was pushed to the side; however i continued to practice my passion and filled my days with some amazing memories. so where to start when i am months behind?!? right where i left off, i suppose. sit back & scroll through some incredible images that are a simple reminder to myself that i have a gift to share & am blessed beyond measure to have such great supporters. oxxo

what to do...

when you have an engagement session and the forecast is calling for snow & sleet??? you thank you lucky stars you have two love birds that aren't afraid of the weather and gear up for an epic session. or at least that's what we did. JT & megan have to be the most laid back couple, in the history of ever. literally megan did not complain one time about the cold, the sleet or the curls that were falling out of her hair. *side note, this girl has hair that looks amazing even after the curls fall. JT was up for anything. between his mom & myself, we had some pretty fun ideas brewing and the both of them were more than willing to go along with our shenanigans. including, but not limited too, pulling over on the side of the road to get the perfect snow shot & offering to push my car out if i got stuck. we started their session at greenwell just when the icy mixture started to come down steady. between his angel of a cousin who brought props, an umbrella and plenty of good luck vibes and his mom who took care of the furbabies in between shoots, i was so impressed by the love of this family. this day was one i won't soon forget. and when i feel like my blogging ToDo list is a mile long, i remember there is a benefit to blogging behind schedule; i get to relive these moments that have now become incredible memories. i cannot wait to watch you guys grow. you are an incredible couple. oxxo
