and this is why...

i LOVE what i do. i can't say it enough, kids just make my world go round. i enjoy every stage. but even more so, i enjoy being able to capture their growth and watch their personalities shine through the stages. this mom has made sure that every milestone month is captured. so a round of applause, because i'm not sure i could juggle two kiddos, a hubby, furbaby, job, life AND make sure each milestone is captured. oh, and hunter is kiddo number two. the exact same was documented for big sis lily...remarkable!
hunter is 18 months old, and ALL BOY.  he is a rough & tumble tike and is pretty fearless. he loves to climb and pick stuff up that weighs more than himself. we had fun in the studio. mom brought along some of his favorite things. and he found a chair that he could climb, he was set. i was
super happy that mom & big sis joined in on the fun as well. thanks again for the laughs and memories! oxxo

be still my heart...

babies are incredible, so imagine my heart when i heard there were two babies.... oh. my. heavens. TWINS! i was super excited to work with these handsome lil guys. colton & hunter were so good for their first session. i was actually surprised at how quickly it went. and when both babies started fussing, dad said we were done. they were such champs!
their mom and i went to school together and it was great to reconnect. she is totally rockin' the whole mother hood thing. and to watch dad interact with his babies is just incredible. i look forward to another session with this adorable family. thanks for letting me capture your lil' miracles. they are just perfect.
(((and p.s. i had a hard time telling these guys apart, however hunter has a cowlick, which is the only difference i could spot.))))

ladies & gentleman...

introducing the 6 month old baby genius; aka brooks. i was THRILLED when morgan contacted me and scheduled a session. she sent me ideas that she wanted to try & suggested the perfect location. we met in fredericksburg at a converted club house which just so happened to be an old train station.  the spot was breathtaking with rustic elements and natural lighting were great.
so what more could a photographer ask for? well, two amazingly photogenic parents and a baby that is just spilling cuteness. my wish was granted. mom & dad were never without a smile on their face. they are clearly naturals; and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. even the fashion for this lil' kiddo is out of this world!
brooks is quite simply the light of their world. to watch dad get on the floor and play with brooks just melted my heart. this little family is nothing short of awesome. i am thrilled i was able to capture it.
