give me ALL the squish...

puhhhlease. (thank you) babies make my world go round. liam was an absolute doll for his session. these guys came over and we had an incredibly squishy & snugly baby session. what more does the world need, really? all the love, all the feels. this sweet family was a joy to be around. they really made the whole parenthood think look like a breeze. when mom suggested dad wear his uniform, i was thrilled. there is always something about a uniform and a baby that makes my heart beam. of course, we had to include some hometown swag, as maryland is their current spot but virginia is home. thanks for allowing the the opportunity to capture your sweet little doll. oxo

let them be little...

and let them be who they truly are. i love when parents allow their kids to do their thing. usually, some pretty amazing things happen. i met this family through a referral and am so glad i did. big sis had an idea of what kind of pictures she wanted & i was eager to capture. and while little sis laughed at my stinky feet jokes, i knew she was holding back. but once she warmed up and let her personality shine, that's when the real fun began. the highlight of this session is when little sis londyn was sitting on the bench with her eyes closed. i jokingly said, "londyn where did your eyes go?" to which she replied, "i'm taking a nap, when i get bored i take naps." londyn you are anything but boring, but clearly at that time, i was. thanks for the sweet reminder to be a little goofy, everyday.  i hope that these images will be a reminder that being you is BEAUTIFUL. i'm pretty tickled by this fun group.

just sayin'...

if you can't tell by now, i get to work with some pretty incredible people. i love hearing stories and really enjoy getting to know who i capture behind the lens. i am humbled at how many teachers i have met. teachers are unsung heroes in my book. they are the makers of the future.  i know i have said it a million times, but really; teachers are such incredible souls. to have BOTH parents that are teachers...well maddie, your bar is set high but you are already above it by leaps & bounds. we hung out at greenwell state park and after talking to these guys, i'm surprised we haven't crossed paths sooner, but i'm so glad we did now. i will let the pictures do the talking, this family was beyond sweet.

friday feels...

ohhh, HELLO! i've missed this. updates are coming, blog will be revamped & i'm gearing up for what this year holds.  cheers to 2018; however i still have to share some of what made 2017 so incredible!
