i believe in BIG dreams...

and LipSense, mom didn't reapply one bit of lipstick throughout the entire session. so if you're questioning if it really works, it DOES!

this family has followed my journey since my earliest years when i was working at the studio at target. i still have to remind myself alexis actually IS the same little munchkin from way back then.
i know, i KNOW... kids grow and time flies, but can i get just a little pause? alexis is now FOURTEEN and the most striking ballerina i have seen.  the long hours she spends perfecting her craft is mind blowing. i had the pleasure of capturing this beautiful soul behind the lens and she is an absolute natural. i have such a hard time convincing myself that she is ONLY fourteen. she acts with such grace and class well beyond her years.
alexis, keep doing what you're doing because you are INCREDIBLE! oxxo

i DONUT know

what i would do without this family! if we go wayyyy back; you know, BEFORE stella and norah, and a wedding, and there was "just" a ring and two people who were crazy in love with each other, that's when my part of their journey started. the briscoe family has been with amanda pearl photography since my humble beginnings. i always appreciated them as they have been a tremendous support for me. i cannot believe that what started as my first engagement session has now turned into pictures for a family of four.
stella, i have thoroughly enjoyed watching you make your mark in the briscoe family. i love how norah has embraced her role as a BIG sister. greenwell state park was the perfect location to catch up, eat some donuts and make memories. thanks again briscoe family, you're a blessing! oxxo

often times i sit back and realize...

just how blessed i am and what an incredible journey this whole photography "gig" has taken me on.  i have met some of the most incredible families and the washington family is no exception. i first met kingston when he was an itty bitty, smooshy, snuggly, sweetest smelling babe. it was pretty much love at first sight with this family. they invited me into their home, and aside from a brand new baby, they have TWO boxers. ohhhh, you know, that's pretty much all it took. i was smitten. i admired the fact at how mom and dad just without missing a beat cared for this brand new babe as if he was their 3rd or 4th child. they made it look so easy. when kingston would fuss, dad would pick him up and sing to him with this soulful voice and kingston just loved it. it's interesting to watch dynamics change once a baby comes along. with these two, it was like they were born for this. they are so in tune with this little guy.
let's fast forward about eleven months and we have a handsome tot who is celebrating his first birthday. mom had balloons, custom shirts (diy mind you, yeah she's crafty too) and some pretty neat ideas to celebrate the first 365 days of their life together. i met up with them at their house again and i was amazed that kingston still has his sweet little baby face that i remembered. in addition to those chubby cheeks and soulful brown eyes, this kid has eyebrow control like i have NEVER seen. (not kidding, scroll down. the proof is there)
to say thanks for allowing me to capture these moments doesn't seem like much. so here i am a few months after this session and i'm grinning so big as i go through these images again. when i delivered the proofs mom had the sweetest message for me. she said thanks for sharing your talent with us. i am just beyond grateful to have been given the opportunity. oxxo

the lopez family...

got fancy. i'm used to seeing this mom & dad in the gym crushing their workouts. these two put in work not only at the gym, but also their full time jobs and with these two amazing kiddos. they are proof that hard work pays off. we had a mini session in solomons and i think the pictures speak for themselves because they rocked it! these two have taught me more than they will realize. whether it's a simple reminder of how far i have come or encouragement to keep going; i am blessed to have such inspiring people in my life. oxxo
