...some kind of wonderful...

oh YES he is! i was so happy to have baby zachary come to my home and capture his christmas portraits. dad picked out an outfit to match the lil gem, which was some kind of cute! and mom, seriously some people are so natural under the lens of the camera, i don't think i can take a bad portrait of her!
and can i just say that now,  i feel like christmas is complete. after playing with zachary and watching him marvel so innocently at the tree, and share some BIG toothless grins, i am reminded of the simplicity of the season. <-----thank you.
i am amazed at how fast zachary is growing. he is the same lil guy from the earlier "Oh Baby" post. in just a matter of weeks, he is holding his head up, teething and smiling...talk about a tough guy!
mom and dad had picked out the cutest hat for him, they showed it to me at their last session and i knew we had to do some with it.
and mom and dad are still gushing with delight over their new baby boy, rightfully so. i'm estatic, and he's not even mine! but i am blessed, once again to talk to, love and cuddle baby zachary. it truly puts life into perspective!
so here are a few from his session...ENOJY!

mike and the boys

i LOVE when i have the chance to work with kiddos. for starters, they are innocently HILARIOUS and put a new spin on this sometimes crazy world.  i was lucky enough to meet two pretty awesome ones, i swear the oldest probably WILL be the president someday, and the youngest was kind enough to share some fabulous smiles with me even though i interrupted his pizza dinner. so here's to my newly discovered gems...thanks for making me smile! oh and i was quite impressed with dad who not only scheduled the session, but also had everyone in coordinating clothes and ready on time! <-------g0 dad!

matt & brittney

so what do i get when i photograph a couple who is beyond adorable and cuter than cute?!? matt and brittney of course! these two were nonstop smiles the whole time! they both have gorgeous eyes that sparkle like the sea. we had a blast and they even let me do my milkshake portrait, which i've been wanting to do for an eternity. o, and brittney let us capture some moments at a family barn, which i loved and wish i had in my backyard! thanks! so here's to you both! congrats again!

oh baby!

so anyone that even kinda knows me knows that i have an absolute, hands down, no holding back, LOVE for babies! even as a child, i remember being drawn to them like a magnet, often times giving up "hang-out" time with my peers to spend time with their younger siblings....(crazy, i know) at 11 years old, most of my weekends were spent, you guessed it, babysitting.  and i was thrilled!  its amazing that what started out smaller than a speck of sand has grown into this miraculous little human. is a baby not the definition of pure perfection?!? ohh and that smell, that clean, crisp, sweet baby smell...if it came in bottle form, i'd buy stock in it! babies provide me with pure joy, unrelenting happiness and blissful moments that i will treasure forever. in turn, i love them...hold and cuddle them, talk to them like the little people they are, and capture some memories in between.

so i owe a HUGE thank you to the Cail family, for letting me play with their precious miracle, Baby Z. talk about one proud papa, who was already showing me albums that momma had put together, and Baby Z is only a month old! and momma's smile never once left her face!  it was obvious just how ecstatic these parents are. and just how much they love their miracle. and BIG brother Colby (ok, so he has 4 legs and fur) was awesome! so here are a few, ok maybe more than a few, but seriously, how can i not post them all!
*disclaimer, Baby Z has blue eyes as big as the sea, i got lost in them!

andrew & michelle

he will ALWAYS be my little brother, but i am nothing short of amazed by the young man that he is turning into.  to say that time flies is an understatement. i remember like it was yesterday his first wobbly steps, and how he use to call me da-da. i will treasure those memories forever.  last weekend we went out for the day to celebrate michelle's sixteenth birthday. the weather was gorgeous and we topped the night off with dinner. happy birthday michelle! and andrew, i am so proud.

meet andrea & ebony

andrea is such a strong, independent young lady who treasures every moment with her furbaby! ebony is her momma's shadow, who is equally smitten. we spent the afternoon together, no leash required! i was amazed at the love!
